One of the newest and probably least common drones is a hexacopter. It has six propellers instead of the more common drone, a quadcopter, which only has four. If a propeller blade has trouble or goes out, you have more backup with a hexacopter and it can stay in flight. It can then also land without the crash a quadcopter would make. The additional propellers mean its body is by default larger, so it can also support the weight of a heavier camera. On the downside, they are more expensive and less compact. You can find a simple model for about $50, though.
